On Dec 3rd at 10am at the Dougherty Arts Center, the City of Austin will hear proposals from the community on how to best use 5 million dollars to upgrade and finish Butler Park (the one right next to Palmer Events Center on Barton Springs Rd)
Im calling as many people as possibly to occupy this meeting in support of creating a Permaculture designed food forest/educational demonstration site to 1) increase food security 2)show people how sustainable design works 3) fund local permaculture geniuses like Gary Freeborg, Kirby Fry, Dick Pearce, and more to design and implement an inspired centerpiece of the Austin Parks System 4) Lead the way in America of utilizing open green spaces to grow food, enrich the Earth, and Inspire humans all at the same time. Lets do it.
